Tough In The Office

I found my old torn up muscle tee a few weeks ago, and have been wearing it non stop. I thought that wearing it to the office would be completely inappropriate, but then I decided to go with it and see if I could make it work. Turns out, wearing a leather jacket, and tucking it into a pencil skirt actually camouflages how beat up the tee was. Tough girl chic in the office was a hit!

Pencils and Denim

I bought this denim shirt recently, only solidifying my new found love for them. Easy to dress up, or down, and very comfy. I hope the remainder of everyone's weekend goes by amazingly well! Enjoy it!

Throwback

This skirt has quickly become one of my favorites. I have to restrain myself from reaching for it on a regular basis, and by that I mean almost daily. The outfit made be feel super retro and vintage-y even though all the pieces are current and pretty modern. I feel like I should be in Europe, in the Fall, during the 40's or something. Not the best timing to be in Europe either...

I like integrating warm season pieces within cold weather appropriate outfits because 1) it keeps things interesting, and 2) It makes me feel super savvy for spending how much I spent on it and wearing it year round. It's win win for me.

Pencil Me In

This outfit is probably the best example of how classic and basic pieces/silhouettes can still make an interesting and unique outfit when put together with some funky accessories. Pairing a basic and uber soft white cotton t-shirt with a below the knee pencil skirt is simple, but putting a leather jacket over it all toughens it up. Add some tough hardware, like a big belt and chunky necklace, and some fun shoes, and you have a look that's taken up a notch.
