Awkward

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

The title of this post perfectly describes how I feel about this outfit, and that's exactly why I love it. The awkward flowy/boxy silhouette is something I found refreshing and charming. I call the sweater I'm wearing my "ugly" sweater. I don't feel as though it's ugly when it is on, but on the rack it didn't look too great. I tried it on anyway though, since it was sooooo cheap, and loved it. It's very warm, though not very versatile.

Sweater: Gap. Shorts: Anthropologie. Tights: H&M. Socks: H&M. Booties: Schuler & Sons. Hat: Forever 21. Bag: H&M. Necklace: Forever 21

Inspired

Feeling inspired by this polyvore set I created, I decided to give the look a try with items in my own closet. Sometimes I find that finding new inspiration in things you already own is a great way to re-discover your closet. It really does help you save money because it shows you the versatility of pieces you own. I wore the skirt you see in this outfit when it was much warmer out, but this morning I realized that I could make it cold weather appropriate with some layers, and a warm cup of coffee ;)

Jacket: Marshall's. Top: Target. Cardigan: Nordstrom Rack. Skirt: Thrifted. Boots: Corso Como. Scarf: Gifted. Tights: Walgreens. Hat: H&M. Bag: Lucky Penny. Sunglasses: Ray Ban.

Something New

I KNOW that I said I was banning myself from shopping but that didn't quite work out. Upon seeing these boots on Anthropologie's website I fell in love. The price on the other hand I did not fall in love with. I, however, did end up with these boots yesterday. How you ask...?

Nordstrom's Anniversary sale! They were marked for nearly $100 off Anthro's price, and since the sale ends soon I bit the bullet and went for it. I am in love with them. They have the perfect heel height, and the perfect amount of edge. They have a steam-punk vibe to them, which I am all for.

Shop these boots here at Nordstrom's, or here on Endless.com at a price still cheaper than Anthropologie's.
