Texturize

I think Fall is the perfect season to play with different textures, which is exactly what I did here. Breezy pieces, layered under sturdier outerwear is a no brainer, but don't be afraid to play with fun accessories too! This weather is the perfect opportunity to play with some wild patterned tights!

Black, White, and Denim: Take Two

Told you I've been doing different interpretations of the black, white, and denim look. This is a casual look, for a nice Sunday stroll in Golden Gate Park. I love that the cute tie on the shirt made the look just a little more special than it would have been with a plain white tee.

Ditzy

Happy Sunday readers! I hope everyone is getting to enjoy a long weekend.

An easy way to update your casual jeans&tshirt Sunday outfit is to incorporate colors and patterns. It keeps things interesting, and even if you put no thought into the outfit, you're fooling everyone who takes a look at you. For me this idea became even easier when I found these jeans in a bright burnt red color with a ditzy floral pattern on them. How can you not love them? For the less brave souls, there is a khaki version of these as well, which I may have to go buy myself.

Maxi Me

First off I'd like to apologize for the poor quality iPhone pictures. You see, as my friend was about to take pictures of this outfit, which I was quite excited for since we were at a great location, my camera DIED! Yes, that is how things work out for me. If only things worked out for me in the opposite way. You know- like I always look fabulous in clothing that comes from my never-ending closet, that is all captured by a top photographer who's always by my side. That would make life easier.

Anywho, this is a maxi dress that I have had for a while and rarely wear. Most of the time it's because I like to save it for dressier occasions. It has a beautiful drape-y top that lends itself to an effortless ease kind of look. Think Angelina Jolie on the red carpet. Simple, easy and glamorous. Just add some fabulous jewelry and shoes. Today though, I decided to bring it out for a casual look. Throw on a bright scarf, and a leather jacket for warmth and I am quite pleased.

Sunday Funday

After a grueling 8 hour brunch shift at work on Sunday, I didn't really feel like going home to take a nap and wind down like I usually do, so I met up with my friend Justine to take advantage of the surprising and sporadic nice weather in the Marina. After walking around and window shopping (I was a good girl) we decided to eat dinner at Mamacita. Dinner was amazing! It consisted of chips & guacamole, a jicama salad which tasted even better than it looked (wish I took a picture), carne asada tacos (pic below) and a baked chocolate pudding dessert (which was also amazing and eaten before taking a picture).

Me and Justine- matching outfits not on purpose!

Once I got home I did a little more "window shopping" online and bought this. Larimar is one of my favorite gemstones and I have a few pieces. It's a very rare and very unique stone that reminds me of pools of blue water. Look it up- it's beautiful!

Currently Craving: Jeffrey Campbell

Today I had a wonderful outing with a good friend that involved great conversation, great food, and great "window shopping". I'll have a post about the outing later, but while we were shopping I found a pair of shoes I fell in love with, and when I fall in love with things I become obsessed. So here is what I am currently craving.
These are the shoes I fell in love with. Too bad I have forced myself into a strict budget/shopping ban.
I came home and decided to see if I could find these shoes on sale. No such luck, but I found more shoes I now crave.
I have a pair of old (3 years) Jeffrey Campbell oxfords that I refuse to get rid of even though they are close to complete and total destruction. Maybe these can replace them?
These are not my style at all. The super high platfrom and chunkiness of the shoe overall would be overwhelming on my chicken legs. I, however, do like the burgundy tone to it and the tapestry pattern. Seems a little vintage and a lot modern all at once.
Again these may not be my style but I do like the woven leather. It's a tough girl look. Maybe if I get these they will become my style...
