Accessorize

I don't have my ears pierced. When I was little, I did, but it was a traumatizing experience, so I didn't keep up with them. Now I regret it, but I still don't want to pierce them. So these bold clip on earrings from Target were a no brainer buy! I decided to pile on the accessories with this outfit, and just have fun with it. I really like how it turned out! Plus I promised I would wear this skirt with a huge sweater, so here it is!

Stand Out

I cannot stress how much I believe that your outerwear should be unique, fun and different. As the temperatures drop, I notice that individual's uniqueness in style sometimes does as well because everyone is bundled up under a big neutral coat. While I do think a fantastic, classic neutral coat is a closet necessity, I also think that one or two more fun ones are as well. I have a few coats, that if need be, could make an outfit on their own with the right shoes and accessories, not that it's practical in anyway whatsoever, but I think it's a good rule of thumb. Below I am wearing one of my favorite standout coats with a simple sweater, black jeans, and black boots. I think if it weren't for the coat's unique pattern, texture and details, my outfit would be quite plain and boring. So what are you waiting for, go get crazy with your outerwear!!!

Autumnal

Last night was so incredibly foggy that when you looked outside it had looked like it rained. That's what a real SF Fall night will do. So of course I had to wear my dress that I think is the perfect representation of autumn. Its brown shade and floral pattern reminds me of fallen leaves, and it just makes me want to sit by a fire with some hot chocolate :)

Fall Whimsy

I was messing around on Polyvore to create a Fall outfit for Roxy of Effortless Anthropolgie's "Show Your Style Challenge". While creating the outfit I was looking for pieces that can easily transition from Summer to Fall. This Midi skirt from Anthro is a Summer staple, but with cozy layers in warm Fall colors you can take this skirt from one season to the next!
