Office Poncho

Lately, I've been finding myself very cold and uncomfortable in the office, and if any of you have tried working on a computer with your jacket and scarf on, you know that it's quite inconvenient. I've been thinking about taking a blanket with me to work, but carrying that on the bus would be odd.
When I was at Target this past weekend, all problems were solved as my eyes fell upon this poncho. Warm, neutral, yet in a fun pattern, and cut so my arms could move freely... and I thought the vacuum I bought was the best purchase of that trip...

All In The Shoes

Hey everyone! Today's outfit post is a pretty simple one; button up blouse, classic blue skinny jeans, leather jacket, and a very classic satchel. The only thing amping this look up, slightly, is the platform and patterned shoes. My choice in footwear has to do more with the desire for Summer, rather than it's aesthetic, or practicality. These shoes define Summer for me, with the bright orange pattern and wooden platform, so I figured, 'why not?'

On Track

This past Saturday Kyle and I decided to take a day trip to St. Helena, to go wine tasting, and just get out of the foggy city. I was definitely not prepared for how incredibly hot it was, and found myself dying in an airy tank and jeans. Learnings for next time: wear a barely there dress...

Mash-Up

Hey everyone! The below outfit is a mash-up of two styles I usually gravitate towards. I love edgier/boho styles, however, at the end of the day, I consider my style still pretty classic. I felt the below outfit had a healthy mix of two. A silk button down layered over a sweater, with blue jeans, is pretty classic, however, the hat, braid, and jewels, add a more urban boho feel. It was a great outfit to run some errands in over the weekend.

Lady Rock

Happy Monday everyone! I'm pretty excited to be posting an outfit post right now, considering last week was pretty bare! Life is still pretty busy, but I will try my best to post at least one outfit a week! If you all want to stay more updated, follow me on instagram @postgradchic

Below is an outfit I wore last week to work. I got a lot of compliments, and comments on how I looked super "rock n' roll" in this look. I liked the thought of that ;)

Easy As Pie

I hope everyone had a fun 4th of July! I spent the day with friends, enjoying the weather in the park, and eating good food- couldn't ask for a better time! Below you'll see what I wore to the festivities. You may see a hint of color under the shirt, and that's because I wore a crop top under, you know, to enhance my tanning capabilities. What did you do for the 4th?!

Americana

Often, my go-to for a more interesting version of jeans and a tee, is denim on denim. It's so refreshing to me, and rich blues always remind me of Summer. Since July 4th is so close, I figured a denim on denim combo for the weekend, with leather and turquoise gem details, couldn't be more Americana.

Throw A Belt On It

It must look like I live on a different planet than the rest of the world because of the umbrella present in the pictures. I swear, these are as current as earlier this week! Trust me, I'm pretty sick of it too! Since I'm so tired of silhouettes being drowned out by layer after layer, in this outfit, I decided to wear one shirt, a thick coat over it for warmth, and cinched it at the waist with a belt, to show that yes, there is a waist under all the layers! Of course, I had to incorporate a little pattern play there, and what could possibly be the worst shoe option for rainy weather, ever!

Have a great weekend!

The Formula

I've come to realize, that when I want a simple, and streamlined look, I always turn to a silk oversized blouse, and dark, sometimes coated, jeans. I always play with colors, and accessories, but the foundation is there, and I've found it to be my personal fail-proof look. With a simple swap of shoes and accessories, it's great for work, a date night, a casual weekend day, etc. Do you have an outfit formula you always go to? I'd love to know!

Mission Missions

Happy Monday everyone!
Just a quick note-- I'm traveling for work and all posts this week are scheduled. My apologies for not stopping by all of your lovely blogs to comment- I promise I am keeping up though!
Below is something I wore for a quick thrift shopping day in the Mission. Though we were promised a beautiful weekend, it was rather gloomy, which made getting dressed all the more difficult. I randomly threw on a cashmere skirt, random top, and leather jacket to head out the door. At least I was protected from the elements; hello wind and mist!
