Sunset Stroll

It's been so gorgeous these past few days that even after the sun goes down I'm able to take a nice evening walk outside still in my tank and skirt from earlier that day! It's really something to take advantage of since it's so rare.

*Since these pictures were taken at night, please excuse the general fuzziness of the images :)

Alta Plaza Park

We've been getting some unusually beautiful weather lately, so yesterday Kyle and I decided to take advantage of it by grabbing some sandwiches and enjoying them at Alta Plaza Park in Pac. Heights. The park is super elevated so you get some awesome views of the bay and city sky line. I definitely recommend this park as a great pic-nic spot for any of you SF natives that read my blog. And HURRY! This weather won't last.

It's A Man's World...

...But it wouldn't be nothing without a woman... in men's clothing :)

As I've mentioned before, menswear is really inspiring me lately. Usually one to go to tights, boots and dresses/skirts for Fall, I've been looking at my button up shirts, trousers, and wing-tips for some new outfit combinations. The following one is a playful nod towards men's fashion. And of course I needed to wear a hat to complete the look.

Floppy

Just recently I've seen how much a hat can complete a look. It can take an outfit past being just an outfit, and it turns it into a full on statement. The other day when I put on this outfit I changed shoes, jewelry, and other accessories because I didn't feel the look was completed. Then I threw on this floppy hat that I had yet to wear, and I was more than satisfied. Accessories can make such a statement, and hats are a new accessory I am going to have to invest in.

Ditzy

Happy Sunday readers! I hope everyone is getting to enjoy a long weekend.

An easy way to update your casual jeans&tshirt Sunday outfit is to incorporate colors and patterns. It keeps things interesting, and even if you put no thought into the outfit, you're fooling everyone who takes a look at you. For me this idea became even easier when I found these jeans in a bright burnt red color with a ditzy floral pattern on them. How can you not love them? For the less brave souls, there is a khaki version of these as well, which I may have to go buy myself.

Granny Tweed

The pants I am wearing are a new purchase. I've been wanting a pair of high waisted tweed slacks for quite sometime, especially more recently as I've been influenced by 1920's men's fashion. When I finally found these yesterday at Forever 21, for less that $25 might I add, I was beyond thrilled. Then I tried them on and saw how great the fit was. But this morning as I was trying to make an outfit around them I had the hardest time. The best I could come up with was a form fitting bright t-shirt, short cardi, booties, and a scarf. So, readers, I ask you, do you have any idea how to wear these?!? I love them to death, and want to wear them over and over, so help me out!
