Florals and Stripes

Inspired by this J. Crew catalog look, I decided to try out a more casual, weekend variation with my stripes and florals. Turns out this striped and floral combo is super easy and fun to pull off. I love that I invested in these J. Brand jeans, and even if the floral trend dies off, the frequency of how often I wear them won't!

Feminine

I love overly feminine pieces all put together. Floral prints, and shapely silhouettes are simple ways to play with girly elements, but I always make sure to keep it modern, and balance colors. You don't want to get too "costumey" with it.

Floral on Floral

Happy Monday! This week is going to be crazy hectic for me, I'm not looking forward to it :-/

Tried to go for some floral on floral print mixing in this outfit. The pants are almost like a neutral, so I thought it would be fun to go for more busy print up top. I kept everything in the neutral color family to help from having things clash, and I think the pairing worked out quite well. How about you?

Also I put a new skirt up in my shop, shoppostgradchic, check it out. It's perfect for the season!

Casual Denims

Here I am again in my new favorite jeans, doing a different take on the "denim on denim" trend. I don't know if I can personally work the blue denims together, but I love pairing different colored ones in one outfit. I loved the look of the blue chambray button up, with the pretty and neutral pattern of these J. Brand floral jeans. I went for a casual day to night look with some fun jewelry, quirky pink patent brogues, and my new clutch for a dressier piece. This look took me from a casual Saturday day, to drinks with the ladies at night :)

Black Thorn

Readers, meet my new favorite pants! These black and white floral J Brands, that I've mentioned before, have quickly stolen my heart! They fit amazing, are super soft, and hold their shape better than any other pants I've owned! I can see myself pairing these with a myriad of outfits, but for this one I kept it simple, with all neutrals. I wore my trusty leather jacket, a simple oversized tank, and nude pointy toe pumps. While the purpose of that was to let the print be front and center, I added a coral belt for a pop of color, and my vintage collar necklace for some bling. What do you think?

Just A Little Floral

Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone had nice weekend!

This is something I wore this past week, and I just didn't have time to blog about it. The last time I wore these jeans was back in October, which is surprising to me, since the floral pant trend has been strong for what seems like a while now. The color of the pants is somewhere between a bright rust color, and salmon, so I decided to tone it down with a cream button up. I added the utility jacket to add a different color to the mix, that still acts as a neutral. Also, it's a great layer for the changing temps. throughout the day.

Currently Craving: Black and White Florals

While I've already purchased a brighter and bolder floral pant, here, I can't stop lusting over this black and white pair. They are much more modest, and when the trend ends, these can still be worn in your regular denim rotation.
