Denim Vest

A studded denim vest has never been something I thought I would find in my closet, but when this one came into work, I snagged it up, and have been throwing it over what feels like everything. Funny how things work sometimes. For this particular outfit, I liked the idea of going with a denim contrast, and topping it off with some leather to maintain the tough girl appeal.

Fall Texture

I'm really excited about this post for a few reasons: this is one of my favorite outfits, it's a perfect example of how to wear popular Fall materials, and the photos came out great thanks to Jocelyn! I've mentioned before that Fall is going to be the season to explore leather, and here I am wearing a leather contrast sleeve sweater, that is super cozy for Fall and Winter, and a flirty leather mini skirt. To go with the urban feel, I thought my Pendleton hat would be the perfect topper.

Contrast

Hey there everyone! It's been raining like crazy today. I woke up at 3am to rain and hail hitting my window so hard, I was pretty sure it was about to break through. Anyway, I wore this outfit just yesterday, and I managed to take these shots while the weather cleared up momentarily. Unfortunately, it was also getting pretty late, so excuse the poor lighting. What I love about this outfit, is that it proves that key pieces added to basics really does pull a look together. The leather contrast sleeves of the jacket add edge, and some texture to the basic grey tee and jeans, and the platform shoes play off the edginess of the jacket. I also added a neon coral belt for a pop of color, but that's hard to see in the pic.
