Pinsperation

I love using Pinterest as a source of inspiration. I've unfortunately found too much, and have lost all hope of organization. Lately though, I've been finding myself pinning the same two outfit formulas over and over; navy blazer + black jeans + white tee, or some sort of masculine denim look. I've rounded up some favorites here, and don't be surprised when you see me copy these looks ;)

The Spring Trench Coat

I've been wanting a light weight, navy, vintage style trench coat to add to my wardrobe ever since I saw Kristen Dunst wearing this outfit. She looked so chic wearing it as a dress, and I was so inspired. I finally found the perfect one for me, and I'm so glad to say it's vintage, too! Nothing beats a true classic! While I didn't style it as a dress, like Kristen Dunst, this time around, it's still the perfect layer to throw over a striped tee and jeans, with some fun heels. I felt very parisian ;)

Lauren Moffatt Fall 2012

Lauren Moffatt's Fall 2012 line is one to fall in love with. Trust me- I'm head over heels. The use of metallic accents, fun patterns, bold stripes, and unique shapes makes for a preppy meets, downtown cool vibe. This collection is perfect for the quirky-feminine chick, and I would love for my closet to consist of this collection, and possibly nothing else.

Now that there is Pinterest (follow me) to aid in collecting and organizing images we love, I've been looking through my "inspiration" iPhoto album to see if I can toss the folder. But as I look through it, I find it hard to delete even one picture (out of over 300). There are bits and pieces I like, and it seems that I apply this to a lot of other things in my life, especially my closet. There are shoes I haven't worn in ages that I refuse to get rid of because I like something about them. All of the images I've saved from all over the web are too precious to get rid of, so instead, I decided to share a few :)

Inspiration

I know, I know. You're thinking "What the hell is this Fall outfit I'm seeing?" We just entered Spring, and I am super excited for pastels, neons, and wispy light layers, however, San Francisco hasn't got the memo of the season upgrade. Get with it, SF! It may be sunny, but it's so damn windy and cold, I'm looking to Fall for some outfit inspiration, and what perfect timing for Banana Republic to release their Fall sneak peak! I love the use of mustards, and burgundies, as well as rich wools, and leathers. It's a classic Fall collection, and you can never go wrong with that. My favorite season to dress for is Fall, so I'm happy to see this direction in retailers.
