Rich Tones

I've been wearing so many neutral colors lately, I decided to brighten up my wardrobe palette with this look. Burgundy and camel is a combination I really like, so I decided to just pile it on.

Dries Van Noten Fall 2013

Always an absolute favorite, Dries Van Noten, once again blew me away! I can never tire of their signature print and proportion play. The little hints of embellishments showcased this season, with the feathers, embellished necklines, and embroidered details were the perfect touch to what I already consider perfection. Now who wants to buy their Spring 2012 and Fall 2013 line???

Inspired

For those of you just tuning in, I was really inspired by this particular look from NYFW, so here is my version of it. Of course, there was no way I could fit any of my wool coats under my moto jacket, so I went for my trench coat. I really like the final result, even though with the hat it may have been a little too Indiana Jones, as a few co-workers may have mentioned ;)

Weekender

Happy Monday everyone! Did you all watch the Oscars? I have to say, I really enjoyed Seth MacFarlane as the host. As for the gowns... not as impressed...

Here is what I wore strolling Haight yesterday. It was a very windy, and very cold day (what's new?) so a chunky sweater and statement coat had to do.

LFW Recap: Personal Favorites

After catching up on NYFW, I thought it was only appropriate to cover my favorites of LFW. I definitely was more caught up with this set and I have to say, European fashion never ceases to amaze! I can't wait for Milan and Paris Fashion week!

L'Wren Scott was probably my favorite from LFW. The opulence was just... astounding. Combining that royal blue with gold was so eye-catching, and gorgeous. I would wear it all. Just beautiful!

Temperley London has been a favorite of mine since I discovered it in Vogue, many many years ago. Like early High School days. So of course I was super excited to see the collection, and it did not disappoint. She is just so good at feminine and ethereal incorporation with all of her individual looks.

What really stood out to me from the Preen collection was the use of contrasting colors to accent patterns, and silhouettes. It was such a clean and smart execution, despite the busy patterns. I especially love the trousers, shown above.

Urban

Quick post on a recent look I wore this past weekend. I always find that a tee with a twist, like this one with the ruched shoulders, can make a simple outfit just a hint more special. Throw on a leather jacket, funky necklace, and booties, and you're out the door. I've been so busy lately, that variations of this is all I can pull together. So glad tomorrow is Friday! Phew! A break is much needed, and maybe it will help with my outfit creativity...

The Palace of Fine Arts

One of the many places my family and I stopped at during their visit; The Palace of Fine Arts. Tucked away near the Marina, I'm always astounded at how this structure even exists in the city. It's one of my favorite places in the city, and on a warm day, laying out on the grass here is perfection.

C.O.L.D.

Really, the title of this blog post says it all. It. Is. COLD. I wouldn't be surprised if it snowed. And for all of you SF natives, yes, I am a wimp :) So this outfit is just layer upon layer, with a pop of print in the scarf. It's really the only thing making this look remotely stylish. Oh, also, my resolution has been broken: bag and black coated pants are new. Whoops ;)
