Vest

Has anyone shopped the Zara sale?! I definitely did ;)  My favorite purchase from the sale is this double breasted tuxedo style vest, with deep armholes. The crisp white color, sharp tailoring, and unique details makes this a no-brainer to throw over a tank and jeans to feel put together, without the extra weight. Wearing a tank and jeans to the office was never this easy!

Flower Power

Nothing like adding some tough leather to feminine florals for the ultimate contrast in dressing. Have a lovely weekend!

Saturated

This jacket has become a go-to for me on mild weathered days. The bright pattern, and saturated colors makes getting dressed so easy, as the jacket makes a statement on it's own. Pairing it with a white blouse, and faded blue jeans just felt right, and adding some turquoise jewelry my Dad gifted me was the finishing touch.

Jazz It Up

Happy Monday! Below is something I wore for an impromptu dinner date after running errands all day. I was wearing the sweater and pants with flats, and when it came time to get ready to go out, I just added some layered jewels, heels, and a red lip to make it dinner appropriate. Easy peasy!

The Formula

I've come to realize, that when I want a simple, and streamlined look, I always turn to a silk oversized blouse, and dark, sometimes coated, jeans. I always play with colors, and accessories, but the foundation is there, and I've found it to be my personal fail-proof look. With a simple swap of shoes and accessories, it's great for work, a date night, a casual weekend day, etc. Do you have an outfit formula you always go to? I'd love to know!

Grunge

So if you all haven't caught on yet, I have been loving the grunge influences I've been seeing for Spring/Summer. Though this style can easily cross the line from chic, to trashy, when tastefully done, I love how it adds a good amount of edge and carelessness to any look. After my last Splurge or Save post, I immediately went out and snagged this skirt before my size sold out. While I can see myself wearing this skirt with sleek button ups, breezy tanks, and of course flannel for the ultimate 90's look, this time I thought to just pair it with my favorite leather jacket, a Mumford & Sons concert tee, and a bold necklace for a Saturday night.

Mission Missions

Happy Monday everyone!
Just a quick note-- I'm traveling for work and all posts this week are scheduled. My apologies for not stopping by all of your lovely blogs to comment- I promise I am keeping up though!
Below is something I wore for a quick thrift shopping day in the Mission. Though we were promised a beautiful weekend, it was rather gloomy, which made getting dressed all the more difficult. I randomly threw on a cashmere skirt, random top, and leather jacket to head out the door. At least I was protected from the elements; hello wind and mist!

Dressed Down Sequins

Happy Thursday everyone! I'm really looking forward to the weekend. I'll be traveling to LA for work all of next week, so I'm looking forward to relaxing, and maybe catching a movie.
Below was a quick look I put together, trying to once again dress down my sequin skirt. A denim jacket, and black flats were the perfect tools to do so!

Dive-y

Whenever I throw on this jacket, I find myself building an outfit that's just a bit edgier, and just a bit more "hip" than something I would normally wear. It really comes to no surprise, but I do love the influence this jacket gives me everytime. This outfit in particular is one of Kyle's favorites. He said it's because he could see me hanging out at a dive bar in it. I'll take it as a compliment...

Batik and Stripes

Saturday was such a beautiful day, I couldn't think about wearing anything other than this slouchy tank. Since the low arm-holes on the tank are a bit risky, I wanted to keep the bottom classic, with high waisted striped trousers. On top I added a scarf, to keep me a bit covered, and used that opportunity to clash patterns. I love the end result, and could easily swap out the tank for a basic tee for the office!
