Trend-Spotting: Stylish Sneakers

With the growing popularity of the sneaker wedge, thanks to Isabel Marant, I guess it was about time for me to give recognition to the rising trend of stylish sneakers. I for one am actually digging the trend, because my feet would be much happier. I've seen some great outfits, where sneakers totally casualized the look, but in a cohesive way, and it's definitely something I'd like to try. You can always go for the on trend sneaker wedge, classic chucks, and I am particularly loving the baby pink TOMS sneakers on the top right.

Trend-spotting: Spring Metals

Another great trend for Spring 2012 that I am absolutely loving is shimmery metallics. Designers have taken the sequin trend that dominated this past Fall and Winter, and interpreted it in light, flowy fabrics. I love the idea of wearing a metallic linen dress out for a Saturday night date. Dress up any casual day look with a rich metallic leather bag, like the one below from Free People. It would be super chic to wear an awesome metallic leather skirt with a simple, loose racerback tank, or even an old rock concert tee. Metallic TOM'S are right on trend, and they'll make your feet super happy in the warmer weather. Metallic shorts are a great alternative to denim ones for the season, and for chillier nights, a metallic pullover is a great necessity.
