Trend-Spotting: Stylish Sneakers

With the growing popularity of the sneaker wedge, thanks to Isabel Marant, I guess it was about time for me to give recognition to the rising trend of stylish sneakers. I for one am actually digging the trend, because my feet would be much happier. I've seen some great outfits, where sneakers totally casualized the look, but in a cohesive way, and it's definitely something I'd like to try. You can always go for the on trend sneaker wedge, classic chucks, and I am particularly loving the baby pink TOMS sneakers on the top right.

Trend-Spotting: Baseball Chic.

A fun look to try to for the season is the baseball jacket. It's a take on the sporty trend we've been seeing for Spring, but at the same time, is a versatile piece, that you can get many wears out of even after the trend has run it's course. It's just as easy to throw on as a denim jacket, or military style jacket, so if you see one you like, give it a go!

Trend-Spotting: Denim Vests

Since the temperatures are getting warmer, and Summer is fast approaching, I wanted to direct you all to the denim vest. It's the perfect easy to wear topper, much like the denim jacket, but cooler for the warmest of days. The vest adds just a touch of edge, and casual to any look. While anyone can think of a number of ways to throw this on for casual days out, I wanted to show you a more pulled together look using a denim vest. The look below can be worn for a date night, a girls night out, or even in a creative/casual office environment. Will you rock the denim vest?

Trend-Spotting: Paisley Print

(Jil Sander RTW Spring 2012)

First came leopard prints, then floral came, saw, and conquered. What do I think the next big print will be, especially for Spring 2012? Paisley of course. Not to throw you back to the 90's, or even 60's, the new paisley print is ultra-femme and super modern. It can be worn for work, play, or anything in between. If you aren't into wearing this fun print on your clothing, try incorporating it in your bag wear, shoes, scarves, or anything else you can think of!

Trend-Spotting: Fully Skirted

Another trend for Spring that I am absolutely loving is the full-skirted look. It's ultra-feminine and flirty, and yet can be dressed into many different looks. Since Spring is a season of color, and prints, don't be shy to try different takes on this piece. I'm especially loving the Proenza Schouler pleated skirt featured below. Though I cannot afford this lovely number, the black and white marbling, with the yellow color block is simply chic, and adorable.

Trend-Spotting: White It Out

One of my favorite warm weather looks is an all white outfit. This season, they are all the rage! They are the chicest, and cleanest blank canvas to work with. The only downside; stains- so be careful! Below, I put together an all white outfit, with some colorful add-on options. I love that the amazing McQueen blazer and jeans are a similar off white shade, subtly contrasting the stark white blouse. I added pointy toe shoes with a metallic detail from Zara, as the last white piece. For some pops of color choose either between a statement earring or necklace, add retro cat-eye sunglasses, and a bold red lip. I also added a crazy clutch as an option as well.

Hint of Skin

Hey everyone! This is something I wore over the weekend, on Saturday night. I finally found myself a bra top that I liked, and the weather on Saturday was so amazing I was able to wear it all day and night. Saturday day, I actually wore this top with olive green high-waisted shorts for the beach, and at night all I had to do was throw on my trusty blazer, favorite AA trousers, and some heels. I kept it all black to let the pattern of the top stand out, and to make a somewhat risky look seem more evening appropriate.
