Melancholy

Hey everyone! I know the quality of these photos aren't the best, but the sky was so beautiful on this day, that I had to use it as a back drop for outfit photos, so I apologize for the low lighting.

This outfit is a result of my New Years resolution. I haven't worn these pants in a long while, so I decided to toughen them up for the office with a studded denim vest. It seems as though I've been going a tougher, or more boho route with all of my more classic pieces, so I guess my style is changing up a bit! Maybe I'll save more clothes than I thought

Tux-Like

I love a casual mono-chrome outfit for days where I can't think of any creative things to wear. It's crisp, clean, easy, and chic. The blazer and high-waisted trousers give this look and pant-suit like feel- and I'm always down for androgyny.

Warrior

Happy Monday everyone! This weekend was absolutely beautiful in the city, and what better timing for Sugarlips to be so kind to send me their Warriors of the Mountains Blazer! I absolutely fell in love with the ikat print, and let my inner Florence Welch out and styled it in a totally fun and eclectic way with a dress, hat, and funky booties.

Though items were gifted, I would not partner with any company I do not believe in, and would not wear and style items I do not love.

Hint of Skin

Hey everyone! This is something I wore over the weekend, on Saturday night. I finally found myself a bra top that I liked, and the weather on Saturday was so amazing I was able to wear it all day and night. Saturday day, I actually wore this top with olive green high-waisted shorts for the beach, and at night all I had to do was throw on my trusty blazer, favorite AA trousers, and some heels. I kept it all black to let the pattern of the top stand out, and to make a somewhat risky look seem more evening appropriate.

Valentine's

Sorry I couldn't wish you guys a happy Valentine's day yesterday- so here is a belated one :)

My Valentine's day was casual, just the way I like it, and ended with gourmet pizza, and a good comedy. Below is what I wore for Valentine's day, too. No pinks or reds for the day, I think it's a little cheesy. I thought that the leopard print, semi-sheer blouse was perfectly flirty enough for the occasion.

Blazer: Anthropologie. Blouse: Marshall's. Trousers: American Apparel (similar and cheaper). Shoes: Madewell (here). Necklace: Vintage. Sunglasses: Ray Ban. Bag: Aldo.

Lace and Stripes

Happy, happy Friday! I'm in LA for the weekend, and the weather is around 80 degrees. Can you believe it's January?! I'm taking advantage of it by wearing combos I wouldn't be able to wear in SF. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Grandpa Pleats

When I saw these trousers from American Apparel, I was skeptical. Then my friend Jessica tried them on, and purchased them, and I was hooked! She looked so great in them, that I was obsessing for a few days before I took the plunge and bought them for myself. I'm so glad that I did it, because these pants are amazing. They are flattering, so easy to wear, and extremely versatile. I can dress them down for a walk through the park and city, like below, or dress them up with a fun blouse and slinky heels for a night out.
