Hint of Summer

The top I'm wearing in this outfit is a favorite of mine. The bright print, flirty peplum, and open back (covered by the coat) just read summertime to me. Whenever I throw it on, it puts me in a better mood, so I decided to make it work with my trusty heavy coat, and polka dot heels for some warmth and fun pattern play.

Peplum Prep

I don't know how I thought of the idea of layering an oxford under a peplum top, but I love the final result. It's very preppy, and a little out of my normal comfort zone, but I think it's still an edgy twist I always love to incorporate. I threw on my favorite patterned coat over the whole look to soften it up a bit, and a statement collar necklace for a dash of glam. I hope you like!

Tried and True

The title of this post says it all about this outfit. I love my peplum tops, stripes, and polkadots; especially when combined!

The Favorites

Wearing my current favorite items in rotation at once gives me a feeling that can't be beat. Maybe it's just me, and some sort of disease, where I am far too attached to my clothing- but I usually wear my emotions, and on this day I was feeling pretty damn good.

I also woke up with my hair in perfect curls, and volume- which very rarely happens, so that may also have something to do with it!

Spotted and Striped

I'm absolutely loving all the peplum options that are out there right now- I've kinda bought a good amount! I just find them to be the perfect cut to dress up or down, and they are beyond versatile in my opinion. This striped version was perfect to dress up a loose pair of trousers for the office.

Blue and White

Something about dark blues and crisp whites really make an outfit streamlined. Add a slick blazer, and peplum top to the mix and you have an easy, perfect for anytime/anywhere outfit. I decided to add a few pops of color with a crazy necklace, salmon bag, and purple shoes... I know, I went for the whole color wheel...

One Shirt, Three Ways: Part III

This is the last time you'll see this blouse for a while, I PROMISE, but I had to show you part III !!!
After a lovely Saturday spent in the sun, I decided to keep the top, and dress up my bottom half for a dinner, movie, and drinks double date! A purple pencil skirt was the perfect pop of color, and a vintage collar necklace plus a sleek clutch round out the look. Don't forget the heels!
So how do you guys feel about the three looks? Does it prove that peplums are versatile, and a lot of fun to wear?

One Shirt, Three Ways: Part II

The second look I went for with this amazing peplum blouse was a casual running errands on a Saturday look. Throwing on a pair of great fitting black skinny jeans, and some cute walkable flats, always looks like a great ensemble, though you put in little effort. I ran around town, got brunch, and went to the park all while wearing this outfit.

One Shirt, Three Ways: Part I

Hey everyone! Happy Monday!
For this week, I decided to theme my outfit posts, by doing a one item, three ways kind of deal. This wasn't totally planned, but I bought this new blouse from Anthropologie, and couldn't stop wearing it, so I justified it by making it a blog theme!
So, I've mentioned before how I've been looking for a great, investment worthy, peplum blouse. Found this one at Anthropologie, and it happened to go on sale the very next day. Woot! For the first look I wore it for a casual Friday's in the office, and then out to dinner and drinks with the ladies. The blouse is a dressier piece, so I toned it down with looser olive trousers, but kept its dressier appeal with nude pumps and my favorite clutch. What do you think?
