Blue and White

Something about dark blues and crisp whites really make an outfit streamlined. Add a slick blazer, and peplum top to the mix and you have an easy, perfect for anytime/anywhere outfit. I decided to add a few pops of color with a crazy necklace, salmon bag, and purple shoes... I know, I went for the whole color wheel...

Sparkle and Stripe

I'm really into the guy inspired pieces in my closet right now. Maybe because it's comfy and stylish, and right now I need easy, cute, and comfy as I slowly put my place together. Just to add some glitz I went with my sequined blazer- it makes the outfit look fancier than it is.

Just Another Sunday

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and how excited are you for the extra day off mid-week?! I sure am.

The outfit below is basically what I lived in all weekend. Yes, this was repeated a couple of times... but it was so easy and comfortable, and still put together. Just the way I like it.

Staple

Here are a few pictures of an outfit I wore a few weekends ago, while running errands. Chambray shirts are truly proving to be a Summer staple, because of their throw on and go tendencies, and it's looking like I need to invest in one or two more.

One Shirt, Three Ways: Part I

Hey everyone! Happy Monday!
For this week, I decided to theme my outfit posts, by doing a one item, three ways kind of deal. This wasn't totally planned, but I bought this new blouse from Anthropologie, and couldn't stop wearing it, so I justified it by making it a blog theme!
So, I've mentioned before how I've been looking for a great, investment worthy, peplum blouse. Found this one at Anthropologie, and it happened to go on sale the very next day. Woot! For the first look I wore it for a casual Friday's in the office, and then out to dinner and drinks with the ladies. The blouse is a dressier piece, so I toned it down with looser olive trousers, but kept its dressier appeal with nude pumps and my favorite clutch. What do you think?

Borrowed From The Boys

For a casual Friday in the office, I love going to boy basics for comfort, and girly accessories for a twist. I'm lucky enough to work in such a creative office environment that almost anything goes, but I still like to stick to classic pieces, and just make them my own. This past Friday I wore an oversized white blouse tucked into "boyfriend" style jeans. I added a coral belt, fun jewels, and classic nude pointy toe pumps to feminize the look, and it was versatile enough to take me from a day in the office, to a movie night with a close girlfriend with a swap of my bag for a clutch!

Casual Flow

First off, I would like to apologize to you all for a week with very few outfit posts. It's been pretty hectic at work, and by the time I actually get back home and can find someone (Kyle) to take pictures for me, it's dark out. Next week though, I will get back on that horse- PROMISE.

I did however manage to snap these before I went out to dinner after work. Though it's more casual than what I feel I have been wearing lately, it's nice to have a reminder of what my go-to, comfy outfit is.

Black, White, and Denim: Take Two

Told you I've been doing different interpretations of the black, white, and denim look. This is a casual look, for a nice Sunday stroll in Golden Gate Park. I love that the cute tie on the shirt made the look just a little more special than it would have been with a plain white tee.

Cropped and Casual

I appreciate the growing trend of wearing cropped tops. I, however, think that this is a trend you have to treat with care, because it can be executed in a not so great manner. Remember the 90's?

I love pairing these tops with the obvious high waisted bottoms, but I also think that cropped tops are a great layering piece that can help you play with the dimensions of your outfit.

Casual Cocktail

Some of my favorite pieces of clothing that I own include a few cocktail dresses that are a little more fancy than your every day dress. But if you are going to shell out a ton of money for a dress you bought for one occasion, isn't it a waste in the end? I like to get more bang for my buck- so I experiment with other pieces in my wardrobe to make my cocktail dresses more everyday appropriate.

The dress I am wearing below is the dress I bought for my 22nd birthday that was held at a fancy bar & lounge in the Financial District of San Francisco. I love this dress to pieces so why not wear it out and about during the day? A casual jacket does the trick.
