Rockin'

I've been going to a lot of shows lately, seeing some great local bands, including Kyle's, and I've always found it hard to dress for the occasion. For obvious reasons, I want to stick to my style, but at the same time, the crowd at these venues is usually much more casual than I. I think I've found the perfect balance with boyfriend jeans, simple tee, and some statement heels.

Casual Flow

First off, I would like to apologize to you all for a week with very few outfit posts. It's been pretty hectic at work, and by the time I actually get back home and can find someone (Kyle) to take pictures for me, it's dark out. Next week though, I will get back on that horse- PROMISE. 

I did however manage to snap these before I went out to dinner after work. Though it's more casual than what I feel I have been wearing lately, it's nice to have a reminder of what my go-to, comfy outfit is.

Clashing

After seeing a few people mix leopard and floral prints together, and falling in love with the look, I wanted to try my hand at it. I've concluded that it definitely takes a lot of confidence, and guts to pull it off, but it's something I definitely would do again. Both prints are loud, but neutralizing it with a black jacket and nude heels helped pull the look together. What do you all think?

Jumping into Spring

Although San Francisco saw a sudden drop in temperature yesterday, I was comfortably wearing this Spring-y outfit on Friday, sandals and all. Winter has finally arrived, just as I was getting excited for Spring wear :( I've always liked looser fits, and wispy layers for Spring, and I think my trousers (yes, trousers again) and blouse speak to that. I layered a cropped cashmere sweater over the whole look because sometimes I feel I know San Francisco's weather "moodiness" better than I know myself...

Take Two

The one reason I would ever dislike traveling would have to be packing. It's not that I hate packing, but I'm horrible at it. The outfit below is proof of that. That's the same blouse from this post. Somehow, I forgot to pack enough neutral blouses, and by enough I mean more than one. So, I made it work. On a positive note; I'm sure you've noticed my boots. They're new for me. After my Rachel Comey post, I found these at a consignment store for more than 50% off retail. That was ridiculous luck for me.

Nature Walk

Impromptu exploring can sometimes leave you not so prepared for things to come. Today my mom and I decided to stop by the Legion of Honor to take in some of the best views of the bay. Unfortunately, we weren't prepared for the hike that comes with the views, so because of our choice of outfits we decided to do what we could and come back Sunday a bit more prepared. I do have to say that while my outfit wasn't functional, the colors totally fit in with the nature around us.

Bold

Have you ever had an item in your closet that just makes you feel super tough and bold? This new sweater is that piece for me. The structured shoulders and metallic thread add so much edge to an otherwise simple knit sweater that I can't help but feel bold in whatever outfit I'm in that includes this as a topper. Sharp eye-liner and a nude lip complete the look.
