Cable Knit

I truly believe that cardigans are more versatile than you would think. For this outfit, instead of throwing on a blazer, for work, like I normally would, I thought a cable knit cardigan, with elbow patch details, would be the perfect alternative. It makes the look a little more casual, without losing any professionalism. Cardigans don't always have to be a cover-up, they too can make an outfit!

Clashing

After seeing a few people mix leopard and floral prints together, and falling in love with the look, I wanted to try my hand at it. I've concluded that it definitely takes a lot of confidence, and guts to pull it off, but it's something I definitely would do again. Both prints are loud, but neutralizing it with a black jacket and nude heels helped pull the look together. What do you all think?

Blooming

My love for floral pants is going strong, so I apologize in advance for the repetition of all things flowery. Really, there is more to come, I promise. Here I am wearing a bold neon shirt, with the bold colorful pant. I say, if you're going for it, you may as well go all out. To tone it down for work, I wore my trusty black blazer. The blazer covers up the t-shirt knot for the most part, but that's there because the shirt is way too big for me, I just couldn't resist the soft knit, or the ridiculously cheap sale price ($2)!

Currently Craving: Black and White Florals

While I've already purchased a brighter and bolder floral pant, here, I can't stop lusting over this black and white pair. They are much more modest, and when the trend ends, these can still be worn in your regular denim rotation.

In Blooms

I'm really excited to have this outfit up today because I love this look. After this post, I wanted to show that floral pants are easily wearable, and can be transitioned into your closet effortlessly. I wore this out to dinner with Jessica and Ashley this past weekend. A chambray shirt tones down the bold pattern of the pants, and neutral black sandals have the same effect. For a little glitz I added a gold collar necklace under the blouse so it would only peek out now and then. A neutral gray coat tops everything off and keeps you warm.

Trend-spotting: Floral Pants

J. Crew.

It's a no brainer that the #1 trend for Spring is florals. It's something you can bet on since it is so for sure, but this upcoming season we are seeing a new interpretation of how to incorporate this ditzy print into your outfits. Floral and printed trousers have been seen all over the runways, and on celebrities during fashion week, and although it may turn out to be a fleeting trend, I'm hopping on the bandwagon while it's hot. Who's with me? Just pair them with a crisp neutral button up and pointy toe heels, or a slouchy t-shirt and some great flats.
