Happy Monday everyone! Hope your weekends were lovely!

So... this outfit came together in a moment of frustration with my closet. I know you've all been there; the " I have nothing to wear!" moment. So I just started pulling random items and this is the end result. I have to say that I honestly love this look. Its a bunch of trends and influences happening at once (grunge, print mixing, printed pants, metallics, contrast sleeves, etc), but I feel that this is unique to me and just so easy. In college, when it came to writing papers, the saying went "my best work is done under pressure" and that's what happened here I think. I hope you like it!

Mix It Up!

Happy, happy Thursday! I think Thursdays are my favorite day; it means I've survived the hump (Wednesday) and the weekend begins in a mere 24 hours!

Speaking of favorites, this outfit may just be a new favorite of mine. Sometimes inspiration gives you a crazy idea, and you just have to go with it. I was at Zara, looking for a quick lunch break fix, and I pretty much walked out with this outfit. The inspiration came from these trousers. The fit, color, and stripes are just so perfect for this season. When I came home I decided to get really nautical with it and clash the pants with some stripes on top. To keep the look from being too busy, I grounded it with a short sleeve denim top. For some glamourous elements, I threw on a fun necklace, and metallic pumps. And finally to keep myself warm, because I wore this on a drizzly day, my trusty cocoon coat was the perfect topper. I love the mix of patterns, colors, textures, and silhouettes with this look, and I hope you do too!

Vintage Love

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a lovely, and long weekend! I went home for a few days, and it ended far too quickly.

This jacket was an early b-day gift from my mom, and I couldn't be happier. It's made of vintage fabrics, and is a total standout piece. Of course I had to showcase it by pairing it with jeans, a neutral tank, and black, structural pumps. The gold collar necklace played off the tribal vibe of the jacket just enough for a little accent.

Buds and Spots

Getting a little Oliva P. with this look by mixing leopard print shoes with floral pants. It's a clash I have come to appreciate.

Mixology

Treating your stripes like a neutral is probably the easiest way to go about mixing prints. It's a combo I look to time and time again, when silhouettes are simple, and classic. If I was wearing this combo, blazer, shirt, and pencil skirt, in all neutrals, it would have been far too neutral and dated. Gotta keep things fun!
