DIY: Spring Jewels

Since Spring is around the corner, though it may not feel like it in most places, a fun and easy way to incorporate Spring trends is with your accessories. The biggest Spring trends, time and time again, are florals and bright colors. I thought this super easy project would be a fun way to customize your own Spring inspired jewelry. Designers, like Dannijo, have fantastic interpretations of the neon crystal trend, but I simply cannot afford the price point, so I made my own.

Here is how to do it: All you need it 10 spare minutes, white nail polish, 3 or four bright, opaque nail polish colors, and a necklace with crystals you're willing to colorize. I bought this one at Forever 21 for a few dollars, and they have other great options. Check out H&M as well for some other options.

First put a generous coat of white polish over all the crystals you plan to color.

Once the white polish is dry, take your colored polishes, and paint in whatever pattern you like. If you have a metallic color (I did-purple) you want to wait and do a second coat for complete coverage.

That's it! Told you it would be easy. Place it somewhere out of the way, and let it dry over-night just to be safe, and it should be ready to wear in the morning.
